WASHINGTON (7News) — When Brian Robinson, Jr., gashed the New York Giants defense for more than 100 yards from scrimmage this past Sunday, each stride length also served as key steps in gun violence awareness.
This past Sunday was the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” week, when players are allowed to wear specially designed cleats promoting charities of their choosing.
Robinson wore cleats that said, “End Gun Violence.”
Before the season, the rookie running back was shot during a robbery attempt in late August.
