“It is difficult to understand inclusion if you’ve never been excluded,” explained Meghan Duggan to a room full of Toronto Maple Leafs players and staff. As part of the Leafs’ effort to celebrate pride and to make hockey more inclusive for everyone, the team welcomed Duggan, the director of player development for the New Jersey Devils and the captain of the gold medal winning U.S. team at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
